IS THERE A MINIMUM GROUP SIZE?

 

I have guided tours from individuals up to groups of 120 people. Clearly , for a tailor made tour , the more people in your group , the less each individual will end up paying. This does not apply to the pre-arranged tours listed in the Future Tours section as their cost is fixed.

IS THERE A DAILY RATE?

 

If you organise your own accommodation and transport and employ me purely as your battlefield guide my daily rate is £200 to £300 per day . In addition I will expect to be transported and accommodated by your group or paid to transport and accommodate myself. Lower daily rates are negotiable for longer tours.

 

 

WHEN DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

 

Bookings for the set future tours normally close one month before departure date. Bookings for bespoke tours can be taken at anytime but please bear in mind that the earlier we agree a date , the greater the chance that I will be available for the dates that you want.

 

 

WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT AND CHANGE POLICY?

 

Payment can be made by bank transfer or cheque. Details for payment on request. All payments in sterling. A non-refundable deposit secures your booking. Balance to be paid one month before departure date. In the unlikely event of a cancellation by me you will receive a full refund. If you cancel prior to one month before departure you will lose only your deposit. If you cancel within one month of departure I will endeavour to repay as much of your balance as possible. amount refunded will vary depending on individual refund policies of hotels , airlines and other organisations receiving pre-payment.

 

 

WHAT ABOUT ACCOMMODATION? 

 

My normal tours are arranged to include comfortable , centrally located 3 star ( or equivalent) accommodation. For bespoke tours I will arrange whatever your group wishes to use - from paradores in Spain to school's hostels in France and Belgium and everything in-between.

 

WHAT AM I PAYING FOR ?

 

Your payment , unless clearly stated otherwise , will cover all guiding , transport, entrance fees and accommodation. It will cover breakfast only . You will need to pay seperately for your travel insurance , lunches , dinners and drinks under your own arrangements. This is a deliberate policy on my part to give you the widest choice of places to eat , rather than forcing the whole group to eat together in a place that may not suit all tastes and pockets.
